RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
The minutes of the records commission meeting held September 7, 2017.
PRESENT WERE TRUSTEE DANIEL HODGE AND VALORIE LEWIS
Mr. Daniel Hodge called the records commission meeting to order at 6:35 pm.
A motion to approve the minutes from the November 3, 2016 records commission meeting was made by Mr. Daniel Hodge and seconded by Mrs. Valorie Lewis.
Discussion was held regarding if any shredding should be done this year. Mrs. Valorie Lewis informed Mr. Hodge that no records were shredded last year so there would be two years of Township eligible records for shredding. Mrs. Lewis further informed Mr. Hodge that two years ago the Fire Department did not have any records pulled for shredding. After further discussion it was decided to give Captain Jim Zimmerman the retention schedule for the Department and request he start pulling records that could be shredded. Mr. Hodge stated we would see how many items needed shredded and make a decision at that time as to renting a shredding company or purchasing a shredder for the Township.
A motion to not dispose of any records this year was made by Mr. Daniel Hodge and seconded by Mrs. Valorie Lewis.
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Daniel Hodge and seconded by Mrs. Valorie Lewis at 6:50 pm.
